ALASKA PERMANENT FUND INVESTMENT
WHEREAS there is growing world economic depression, and
WHEREAS investment into Alaska’s vast natural resources would benefit not only our own people but increase national independence from foreign resources, and
WHEREAS the investment in Alaska’s natural resources is a sure thing and long past due,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Alaskan Independence Party endorses the divestment of the Alaska Permanent Fund away from outside interests and stock market ventures and towards investment into the development of Alaskan infrastructure and resources such as an instate natural gas pipeline.
NULLIFICATION
WHEREAS the federal government continues to usurp the people’s freedoms and state’s rights, and
WHEREAS the federal government is as bound to obey the Constitution as are the states, and
WHEREAS state nullification compels obedience to the Constitution by the federal government, and
WHEREAS nullification is not prohibited to the states in Article I Section 10, and
WHEREAS nullification is endorsed by the 10th amendment, and
WHEREAS the State of Alaska has joined a lawsuit to contest the constitutionality of Federal Universal Health Care (FUHC),
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Alaskan Independence Party endorses the efforts of the state to pursue this lawsuit and also encourages the legislature to nullify Federal Universal Health Care (FUHC) as well as the many other usurpations of the Constitution by the federal government.
THE PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
(Federal Universal Health Care--FUHC)
WHEREAS the power of the federal government is derived from the people and from the states and the citizens and states have clearly and consistently spoken in opposition to Federal Universal Health Care (FUHC), and
WHEREAS FUHC overreaches the constitutional powers vested in the federal government, and
WHEREAS nowhere in the Constitution is health care mentioned in any form and is especially not mentioned as a right or responsibility of the federal government, and
WHEREAS the listing of abuses in violation of the tenth amendment includes taking powers reserved for the people themselves, support of particular private industries, and restrictions of the free market, and
WHEREAS FUHC provides special considerations to individual states favoring those states over other individual states, and
WHEREAS the FUHC violates our right to privacy,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Alaskan Independence Party stands with those other sovereign states in absolute and full opposition to the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Federal Universal Health Care- FUHC)
ALASKAN CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION
WHEREAS the people of Alaska are entitled to a vote every ten years to review and revise our constitution, and
WHEREAS there are serious concerns with the structure of our existing state constitution regarding the unlimited powers it grants to the state and federal governments, and
WHEREAS we desire to see that our Alaska Constitution is diligently re-examined and corrected
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaskan Independence Party in convention that we support an affirmative statewide vote in 2012 to review and potentially revise the Alaska Constitution in order to reclaim the sovereignty of Alaskans.
