Hi there, First of all I would like to complement u on an excellent site which u haff created. I must say that u heleped me a lot in comprehending all the history text i was forced to read in doing my history module. It was very organised and all the infomation are easy to comprehend. Thanks once again. I would like to suggest if its not too bad of an idea that u add an extension to the history of india to more of a forum or rather a discussion on certain historical issues especially where politics is concern and where people and even u urself can post ur opinion on how u perceive the whole thing (e.g: how close was the accusation that the fast carried by Gandhi was more of an emotional blackmail..etc) and .. well it would be nice if you could add some info about Jinnah or at least try to view it from both sides because the independence of India cannot be summarised by Gandhi alone though he may have a lot to do with it.... nevertheless these are just suggestions. Still I simply am grateful to have come across your site! esp since there is other dimension to it such as the entertainmant sites esp the cinema..i adore hindi movies So.. keep up with the good work and i would love to see the site again when it updates

As we all are in search of freedom from opression in one form or another, I pledge my support to the people of Alaska and all others in similar situations. The United States wants to liberate Iraq, however they continue to opress their own people in Hawaii and in Alaska. Coming from California, I have to say I oppose most of the AIP's policies. That's not to say, though, that I disagree with their major one. If you Alaskans want to exercise your right to self-determination, more power to you! You'll probably get more support, though, if you give up your rightist policies and just run against Republicans and Democrats. By providing a real alternative, without extreme views on the environment and social issues, you might get Libertarian and Green voters to unite under the banner of an independent Alaska. And if you do, maybe we'll follow your example - since California is so different politically from the rest of the states, why shouldn't we be independent also?

In the mid-1800s, the United States decided several important issues. Slavery was the most visual issue decided, but states rights was by far the most important issue decided. What was the decision? That States rights are secondary to the unity of the United States. Cecesion is not an option for a state. We all live in this country together. We work for the unity of Americans first, putting our state pride on the backburner. Your first platform item is to be in full compliance with the Alaskan AND U.S. Constitutions. How then can you support the Independence of Alaska while stressing obediance to the United States? This hypocritical view would be unsettling if your party had gotten more than 3% of the votes in the recent Senate race. It is good to see that Alaskans can see your party for the leftist radicals that you are.

I wish the Independence Party of New York was more like the Independence Parties of Alaska and Minnesota. I believe that if the individual State's Independence Parties adhered to similar beliefs and rules, there would be a lot more recognition and political clout on the national level. If the NY Independence Party was anything like most other State's IP's, I could feel good about voting.
But, I guess a mandatory adherence would be contradictory to the whole Independent theme.

I was happy to come across your site via the Southern Party's website. I think "regionalism" and "secessionism" should become more common place. There are many areas in the U.S. that are truly unique and need be concerned with their own specific issues, not the issues of Washington. Thanks for answering the question on the 1867 "purchase." I had always assumed that it was an outright acquisition. What documents do you base this position on? I wholly sympathize with your position. Until recently, I had no idea that there were independence movements outside the South. I found sites for Montana, Washington/Oregon, and Hawaii. Looks like people everywhere are growing tired of being ruled with an iron fist from Washington D.C. We'll keep on working here in Dixie and you keep up the fight where you are.

Especially I wish your site to be able for radical changing sometimes.
For example - you can change some colors, scripts and other technical things - users and visitors will like it.

I wish your site be more active - and do something with your phto galleries. It's not not so difficult as you think.
And if you want to place in the gallery some photos about political events - it can be interesting only for a few of crazy fans. What about views of Alaska? I suppose that your organization has some money - so you can easy send some people with cameras and make pictires of Aleutian islands, polar territiries nera Arctic coastlines. Try to show the world tat your site is the site of dynamic and living people. Try to show us, that your world is the real world of independent Alaska.
I have been workin with my gallery (on my own site) for a whole year, but noow I can simply load new pictures and people look on them and can understand something about my ideas and dreams.

Well, I suppose that my ideas now can be not very new, but...
I think that events in NY and Washington and current cruel things in Asia showed you very well that America is closing to one of the greatest crisis in her history.
Yoy can be independent stste (remember about China) and you can never win the independence, anyway - you will have to meet this crisis as other western-civilization states and countries.
Black people, who are crazy of Islam and who live in NY and other cities ... a lot of same tendencies mean only one - while "western" people think about their rights, ecology, himanitarin helps to other countries - men with rifles are closing to their victory.
Who will be the main saver of the world - USA? But without you. Russia? But you don't love Russia.
I believe that people of Alaska, California etc will be to find their true way.

I found your website while searching for "separatist" sites. I haven't had the time yet to go over it all but from what I've seen so far I agree with most of your views. The federal government is out of control. I firmly believe in states rights and the rights of gun owners (even though I dont own a gun because it's next to impossible to get a license in this city). Your site seems to be well thought and organized and rational. I wish you best of luck and hope you can find more memebers quickly. Is there any way a New Yorker could help (ie donations , letter writing , etc.) I am 26 years old am married and have a decent job here in New York. If I wanted to move to Alaska where could I find out more about job opportunities , etc. I will be honest in saying that I dont know much about Alaska in particular but I'd love with all my heart to see at least one state break away and form an independent nation from this government. You have oil , plenty of access to the ocean (ports , etc.) and I'm sure the hunting is great up there (food). The only benefit you derive from being part of the US is military support. But I'm sure you all have enough guts up there to defend your land as long as you have the arms to do it. The cities closest to Washington DC (DC itself , NYC , Philly , the Jersey cities) are all going to sh-t. Be thankful you live so far away from here. And now we have all this terrorist crap to deal with too. A hearty thanks to the federal government for protecting my home with my hard earned tax dollars (sarcasm here). Good luck up there everyone , let me know if I can help. There are a lot more 'right wingers' in NYC than you'd think...and throughout the country. We all need to unite. What scares people away from these movements are the sects that promote racist ideology or wanton violence. If an organization such as yours could appeal to more of us throughout your state (or any other state) and the country at large , I'm sure a secession movement could be succesful eventually.(and get the ball rolling maybe nationally) If a state does ever seceed through political , non violent means I'd bet the federal government doesn't try to use the military to forcibly take it back because they damn well know that especially now in light of Sept.11th that it would be THE public relations disaster that would panic the citizenry at large and throw the country into more choas than any terrorist could do with a bomb. It's time for the people in this country to wake up and stop being sheep , slaves to the federal government. Beware everyone , social security numbers are just the start , smart chip implants are on the way in the near future. If you think I'm nuts , you probably thought that anyone predicting UN patrols on US soil one day was a nut too...well , we got their radar planes patrolling our skies now. Thats enough for me to wake up and see the light.
